3G Launches Pacejet Shipping Upgrade to Deliver Future-Proof Order Fulfillment

New tools help shippers quickly deploy new carrier services, rapidly respond to changing compliance needs, and continuously optimize cost and labor efficiency

COLUMBUS, OH―March 6, 2023―3G, the leader in transportation management and shipping software, announced the launch of 3G Pacejet Shipping 23.1, the company’s enterprise multi-carrier packing and shipping software that seamlessly connects to every part of the shipping ecosystem. The new capabilities in this first 3G Pacejet Shipping upgrade for 2023, help manufacturers, distributors, and retailers bolster agility for quick response to change, improve financial performance, and automate compliance measures so they can focus on customer service.

The ability to respond quickly, consistently, and reliably to changing customer needs continues to plague shippers as supply chains remain unpredictable. Disruptions can erase 45 percent (or more) of one year’s profits over a decade. Whether shipping challenges are caused by labor shortages, lack of warehouse space, fragile manual processes, or a combination, vulnerabilities that put profits at risk force CEOs to rethink fulfillment and shipping strategies. New tools in 3G Pacejet Shipping 23.1 were specifically designed to help forward-thinking shippers maintain control while avoiding losses in profit and sales.

Today’s expectation of outstanding customer experience has driven businesses to personalize order fulfillment for groups of customers or specific product lines in more complex and demanding ways. Unpredictable supply chain hiccups can have a chaotic impact on customer service, unless a high degree of automation is in place to manage diverse pack and ship workflows,” said Ron Lee, 3G Chief Product & Technology Officer. “The 3G Pacejet Shipping 23.1 release offers new tools and visibility for our shippers to run fast, reliable shipping service while supporting continuous improvement and personalization of shipping experiences for customer groups and product lines.

The 3G Pacejet Shipping 23.1 release allows businesses to:

  • Improve Performance with Easy Analytics – New self-service, configurable dashboards in Pacejet Shipping help shippers monitor throughput, track staff performance, measure carrier use, focus on specific customers, and more.
  • Personalize Shipment Pricing for Customers – Powerful new pricing controls allow shippers to deploy more situationally-appropriate markups and discounts to keep customers happy while maintaining margins.
  • Use Flexible Staffing with Confidence – Leveraging improved access controls with two-factor authentication to easily give and remove restricted system access to temporary or temporarily reassigned employees.
  • Eliminate Costly Address Mistakes – A completely re-imagined address validation experience leverages the best multi-carrier data services to check, correct, and verify every address for every shipment simply and easily.
  • Accelerate Workflows for Shipment Batches – Newly redesigned batch processing tools provide faster, more flexible workflows for automating similar shipments for product launches, promotional kits, and more.
  • Utilize More Tools for Continuous Process Improvement – New configurable workbench searches, improved tracking of lot/serial tracked item shipping, improved scanning controls remove time and effort from every shipment.

3G A Recipient of Supply & Demand Executive’s 2022 Top Supply Chain Projects Award

3G’s approach to Bestway Freight Solutions’ deployment scales into new templated implementation methodology

3G, a leading transportation and shipping management software provider serving 3PLs, brokers, and shippers, today announced being awarded Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Top Supply Chain Projects Award. This award recognizes unique and innovative projects from the previous year impacting the growth of recipients’ customers across multiple supply chain functions.

3G’s nomination, and subsequent win, were based on its work with Bestway Freight Solutions (Bestway), a rapidly expanding freight brokerage based in metro Kansas City. The announcement comes ahead of Bestway’s one-year anniversary of joining the 3G customer family. Bestway saw an improved tech stack as the key to growing its current brokerage business, and expanding into other services, such as LTL. Bestway chose 3G’s TMS because of its simple implementation, the ability to add additional functions at any time, and its ease of use for brokers. Within a matter of months, Bestway had gained approximately 10% more “business time” each day, while automating manual processes and setting up self-serve portals for customers.

“Bestway has huge plans for the future, and those plans are all about setting both its employees and customers up for success with advanced supply chain solutions,” said Dave Sapienza, Chief Revenue Officer of 3G. “The team now has the tools needed to implement and execute on those ambitious growth plans and to continue positioning itself as a valuable partner to its customers.”

The implementation methodology used in the Bestway project has since become available to all as 3G’s Smart Start for Freight Brokers. The company’s templated approach to deploying a scalable TMS for high-growth freight brokers officially launched in Q4 of 2021. Based on the Bestway results, 3G honed its ability to address growing brokerages’ most pressing needs: a rapidly deployable, templated solution that they will never outgrow.

“We’ve spent years finetuning our ability to get a customer live quickly, with all of the brokerage essentials, and no added complexities. After the success with Bestway we’re able to offer it more broadly, so what started as a project is now a fully scalable implementation methodology” continued Sapienza.

Elements of the Bestway project that are part of Smart Start for Freight Brokers include core brokerage workflows, vital integrations (load boards, carrier onboarding & monitoring, load visibility), and the ability to grow without constraints (advanced integrations, basic & advanced LTL, managed services).

“Being able to provide new services, like LTL, set us on a path to doubling our business,” added Riley Wiles, managing partner of Bestway. “Since implementing 3G’s TMS, we really feel like a larger, more sophisticated, organization and customers have invited us to take a seat at the table on a whole new level – despite our headcount remaining constant.”

3G Reveals New Buyer Engagement Growth and Win Rate Increases as 2022 Momentum Continues

SHELTON, Conn., (August 23, 2022) – 3G, a leading modern-day transportation management system (TMS) and enterprise shipping software provider, today revealed continued strong results for the first half of 2022 exemplifying the company’s positioning in the industry as a high-value solution for brokers, shippers, and 3PLs combating today’s supply chain challenges.

In the first half of 2022, 3G increased its employee base, experienced strong revenue growth, and made sizable investments in both customer experience programs and market research. As a result, the company is seeing above industry average customer retention as well as increased win rates and engagement rates with both new and prospective customers. This continued company momentum speaks to the significant market opportunity and demand for mission critical solutions to seamlessly manage the movement of goods.

3G’s mission is to be the most trusted resource in transportation management and multi-carrier shipping. 3G Chief Marketing Officer, Jen Holtvluwer, worked with a leading third-party research firm, to help ensure 3G remains the foremost expert in the space by gaining a better understanding of new and ongoing demands in the supply chain marketplace. This was conducted to equip the organization with relevant broker, shipper, and 3PL needs and buying insights. “I can’t emphasize enough how important it is for the team to leverage customer insights to inform our collective efforts. When you listen and act on the voice of customer, you provide the best customer experience and the demand you create is narrowed and focused on who you can best serve,” said Holtvluwer. Better understanding our customers and buyer needs led to strong retention, a significant increase in buyer meetings, and new revenue business was up more than 30% in 1H 2022 vs 1H 2021.

“Our customer retention and increased win rate demonstrates the need for and value of 3G’s solutions in our current marketplace and global environment,” said Stephanie Richelieu Stagger, Chief Customer Officer, 3G. “Current and prospective customers understand and experience the mission critical nature of our solutions. They see and feel the need for an integrated, seamless, and efficient method to manage increased freight demand, find capacity, and continue scaling their business while overcoming the myriad of disruptions that have hit our industry over the past two years.”

Focusing on human capital and investing in employee’s growth and career progression has been the focus of 3G’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Shauna Coleman, who has overseen double digit promotions and placements and a projected 61% increase in close rate for open positions in 2022.

3G’s success in human capital was featured in a cover story in Women Achiever magazine, “Meet the Women Moving the Transportation Management Industry Forward.”

“In order to effectively overcome the disruptions that we see in our industry today, customers require an efficient human layer to partner with the advanced technology we offer,” said Coleman. “I’m truly thrilled about the momentum we are creating at 3G, as I not only believe 3G is a great place to work, but also believe in our solutions’ ability to make our customers’ lives easier.”

In addition, 3G was recognized as a ‘Top 100 Software and Technology Provider’ By Food Logistics. These types of honors are the result of investments in partnerships with industry influencers to showcase subject matter experts, build share of voice, and brand recognition.

“Industry recognition like the ‘Top 100 Software and Technology Provider’ award solidifies our stance as an industry leader,” added Holtvluwer. “We are dedicated to helping the transportation business grow and empowering our customers to make better shipping decisions while reducing freight costs and meeting service goals.”

3Gtms and Greenscreens.ai announce partnership delivering intelligent pricing and load optimization empowering freight brokers and 3PLs

A TMS integration to help freight brokers and 3PLs book more loads at lower prices and win business more profitably

Shelton, Conn. – Apr. 6, 2022— 3Gtms, a global provider of the modern-day transportation management system (TMS), today announced a partnership with Greenscreens.ai integrating intelligent spot market pricing with 3Gtms’ load execution. This integration allows brokers and 3PLs to seize more opportunities with faster, smarter pricing to quote spot market loads with confidence.

Greenscreens.ai works by analyzing historical pricing information relative to real-time market conditions to determine the right spot price for any load, on any lane. Intelligent pricing is accessible within the 3G TMS and becomes an instant, integrated component of the quote-to-cash load execution workflow. The solution reduces time, uncertainty, and friction involved with pricing and booking loads, because the software automates the process often manually managed by multiple users. The result is improved operational productivity with more closed deals, quotes issued, and loads per broker.

“I’m excited about the Greenscreens.ai partnership as it is a force-multiplier for our broker clients. Real-time market conditions, historical analysis and advanced pricing AI provide instant quotes for both buy and sell side,” said JP Wiggins, VP of Corporate Development, 3Gtms. “And because it is directly integrated into 3Gtms’s operational workflow – agents can work more loads and create better pricing than ever before.”

3Gtms has identified three factors that influence a brokerage’s growth: capacity to transact and execute, award win rates, and margins on each fulfilled load. As a result, 3Gtms and Greenscreens.ai have integrated intelligent pricing into the load execution workflow to support all three elements of brokerage growth through faster execution and smarter pricing, resulting in higher win-rate confidence.

Dawn Salvucci, CEO and Chief Product Officer at Greenscreens.ai, adds, “Greenscreens.ai empowers brokers and 3PLs to move more freight and quote with confidence. By integrating Greenscreens.ai with 3Gtms, powerful pricing intelligence and decision support are available at the click of a button allowing brokers and 3PLs to make better business decisions faster.”

Established brokers are not the only beneficiaries of the partnership. Growing freight brokerages can leverage 3Gtms’ Smart Start for Freight Brokers™ and Greenscreens.ai’s “starter” package without a historic data requirement, propelling growth quickly and cost-effectively during the critical early stages of the brokerage.

Customer Wins, Revenue Growth and Leadership Expansion Propel 3Gtms into 2022

An increase in company bookings in 2021 launches 3G into 2022 with continued growth trajectory in sight

SHELTON, Conn., (Feb. 28, 2022) – 3Gtms, a global provider of the modern-day transportation management system (TMS), today revealed strong 2021 financial results. The company experienced over 30% growth in recurring bookings in 2021 and saw strong revenue growth as a result of both new customer wins and existing customer expansion efforts.

The close of 2021 included new and expanded customer relationships with companies including Crane Worldwide Logistics, Bestway Freight Solutions and American Bath Group. 3Gtms also expanded partnerships with ERP industry leaders including NetSuite, Acumatica and Sage.

“The momentum we saw in 2021 is carrying over into the new year as we expand our staff, add to our leadership team, enable more partners and provide product advancements that includes more integrations with our platforms,” said Paul Brady, President and CEO, 3Gtms. “Our growth from 2021 has allowed us to position our current team, and any new team members, to continue identifying and providing our customers with top-flight solutions to modern day supply chain disruptions.”

New Customers, New Opportunities

Capacity crunches continue to be a pain point within the industry, as recent reports indicate the United States is facing a driver shortage of nearly 80,000, possibly reaching 160,000 by 2030. As capacity availability continues to dwindle and become harder to book, customers look for solutions that can secure them fair rates, relative to the market, and streamline the process of booking loads.

Customers look to 3Gtms to combat these capacity crunches, as evidenced by triple-digit growth in “New Logos” taking to the 3Gtms platform. 3G also saw a significant increase in the number of new users added to their Multi-Carrier Shipping (MCS) solution, PaceJet, further cementing the company as a leader in transportation management and logistics.

In November 2021, 3Gtms launched their ‘Smart Start for Freight Brokers‘ program to assist growing brokerages through the capacity challenges that face the industry today. By providing technology that brokers will never outgrow, ‘Smart Start for Freight Brokers’ evolves as brokerages expand, preventing a stunt in company growth.

“The ability to double our revenue will depend on two things – technology and LTL awards,” said Riley Wiles, managing partner, Bestway Freight Solutions, a customer of 3G’s ‘Smart Start for Freight Brokers.’ “Since implementing 3Gtms, we already feel like our largest customers have invited us to take a seat at the table on a whole new level.”

Talent Acquisitions and Expanded Leadership to Match Increased Freight Movement

Since its inception, 3Gtms has assisted its customers in the movement of over $30 billion in freight. Through connections to thousands of LTL, TL, parcel carriers and 3PLs, 3Gtms has expanded exponentially, requiring shifts in upper-level-management and new talent acquisitions to ensure operations continue to run seamlessly.

Internal executive appointments include:

  • Dave Sapienza is a seasoned, veteran in the TMS space.  As revenue continues to grow, as well as TMS and MCS bookings, Dave will centralize 3Gtms sales functions to maximize market opportunities as the new chief revenue officer (CRO).
  • Stephanie Stagger is the chief customer officer (CCO). Her vast experience within the supply chain software services will prove favorable as she works to address critical service-delivery challenges plaguing the industry.
  • JP Wiggins, 3G’s VP of Corporate Development, will further his focus on integrating solutions into the 3Gtms platform through continued identification of potential partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.

All told, 3Gtms saw their staff significantly grow in 2021. The main drivers for growth evolve around continued efforts in providing customers with the most advanced, data-driven, accessible, and visible platform on the market. In 2022, 3Gtms is planning to expand its employee count even more.

Leading this hiring and mass enablement effort is the company’s new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Shauna Coleman. Shauna joined 3Gtms in October of 2021 and has 17 years leading and growing employee relations. As the CHRO at Velocity Technology Solutions, Shauna led their global human resources strategy by developing organizational programs that enabled business growth objectives and fostered employee development. “I am excited to be part of an innovative and customer focused organization that values their employee experience,” said Coleman. “I look forward to transforming the culture to enable the 3Gtms business objectives through strategic human capital management.”

Notably, Jen Holtvluwer joins 3Gtms as chief marketing officer (CMO), where she will oversee all marketing and sales development efforts. Most recently, she served as CMO at Spirion, a data privacy and security B2B SaaS-company, where she built the organizations marketing and business development team that accelerated sales pipeline and win rates. “The pandemic compressed 5 years of eCommerce growth into 1 year. It is thrilling to join an organization providing innovative shipping technology that addresses supply chain demands within the transportation management and logistics market,” said Holtvluwer.
